The Gazette of Patents and Trademarks

In compliance with Article 13(1) of Act XC of 2005 on the freedom of electronic information, the official journal of the Hungarian Patent Office, the Gazette of Patents and Trademarks will be accessible free of charge, in authentic, electronic form, on the homepage of the Office as from January 2006.

The first issue of the 111th volume of the Gazette of Patents and Trademarks of long tradition will appear on the homepage of the Office on 30 January 2006 , and the further issues will be accessible monthly.

The Gazette's patent, supplementary protection certificate, plant breeders' right, utility model, design, trademark and geographical indication sections support versatile information supply in order to enrich the intellectual public domain in the field of industrial property protection. The information is comprehensive: in addition to national applications, it also covers domestic, international and regional applications in each title of protection. The Gazette contains the official, policy making, informative and other publications of domestic industrial property protection, arranged into periodical columns. Among these it publishes the texts of new domestic, foreign and international industrial property legislation and - in accordance with Article 80 of Act CXL of 2004 - the official decisions by means of notices.

The e-gazette offers the following changes to our readers:

• The official gazette appears on the homepage of the Hungarian Patent Office monthly as before, in PDF format certified by digital signature.
• The whole content or each column of the e-gazette of PDF format can be viewed searched, downloaded and printed in any number of copies and free of charge.
• The authenticity of the official version of the gazette of PDF format can be checked by means of the Adobe Acrobat 7 software.
• Printed copies will only be made to special order. Orders are to be sent to the following address:

• Price of the printed version: HUF 3652/copy (including VAT).
• The previous issues of the gazette - going back to 1996 - continue to be accessible on the homepage of the Hungarian Patent Office, in the gazette archive.
• We continue to build our gazette database, regularly updated from 1996, in an unchanged structure and with the already known search possibilities; it will be made available to our users free of charge.

On the right side of the page click "Electronic publication", select the requested volume, and in a drop-down list you can browse the individual issues.
